MMA In Malta

Unfortunately in Malta, MMA isn't popular as much as Kick Boxing or Boxing but although it isn't popular at all, it doesn't mean that in Malta we don't have any club that trains MMA. In fact, the first ever club/gym that opened its doors to start MMA lessons is Fight Legion Malta.

Fight Legion's Malta

At Fight Legion Malta we train three times a week and we don't only train MMA but our schedule is: on Monday we train MMA, on Wednesday we train Wrestling and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and on Friday we do Team Training which will include some advanced sparring.

Obviously not all of us are training for MMA competitions, but some trains just for self-defence and some trains to get in great shape.
Before and after each lesson, regularly we do some physical training which will help us train ourselves for a better conditioning, for strength and for power so our performance will improve.

We hope that MMA will get more popular in Malta because MMA is the new trend of martial arts and its evolving very fast in foreign places where competitions are held regularly.

If you want to start this type of sports I encourage you to do so, because its a type of sport where you can't say that you know everything, because some techniques might won't work in a session of training and might work in another one.

To conclude this blog I'm going to hyperlink a video with highlights from UFC Fights so you can get an idea how professional MMA fights will be.
